Seperation

A divorce is a life event.
Perhaps the most difficult phase in a human life. A period of uncertainty with many emotions and questions about what to do next?
On a practical, emotional and financial level.
Because divorce is much more than just a legal problem.

If you have decided to divorce, it is very important that the divorce is as smooth and constructive as possible in all these areas.

Lilys Law helps you arrange things as well as possible and get your life back on track.

Everything that comes up for discussion with regard to the divorce, access, alimony, pension, assets and any debts, will be properly arranged and laid down in a legal contract.

There are different ways to separate.

Mediation: I mediate as a neutral mediator between the two partners.
Procedure: I’m your attorney, your own advocate
Collaborative divorce: guidance with a team of experts.

Mediation if you can.
Litigate if you have to.

Mediation
Because it takes the sting out of the conflict and thus prevents a divorce.
Brings partners together instead of driving them further apart, because the solutions are in both interests.
The costs are lower than with two lawyers.
Not the judge, but you yourself determine your future.

I work with a clear step-by-step plan and help you make choices and take steps to ensure that the divorce process runs as smoothly as possible in both the short and long term. Where all attention is paid to a good parenting plan when children are involved.

Litigation
Not every divorce lends itself to mediation. In that case, I only look after your interests, from your perspective, and your partner will also look for a lawyer of his own.

Collaborative Divorce
In consultation documents, the partners agree to settle the divorce without litigation. Contrary to mediation, both partners have their own lawyer at the table. Someone who sits there for their interests, but does not fight against the father or mother of their children. There is a coach to give room to the emotions that obviously play a role in such a fierce process and an independent financial expert for the business side of things. If necessary, a children’s coach can be added to the team.

Other services

In addition to supervising the entire divorce process, you can also come to me for questions in the area of:

  • Alimony change: in case of doubt whether you pay too much or receive too little.
  • Second opinion: if you are in doubt as to whether everything is going well with your own lawyer.
  • Advice on whether or not to lodge an appeal: if you are in doubt whether the appeal makes sense, I will help you assess the chances of success in relation to the costs involved.
  • Legal screening of a covenant drawn up by another mediator.
  • Advice when in doubt whether a divorce is the best option and to get a picture of possibilities and bottlenecks.
  • Coaching in mediation: I think along with you – legally and strategically – and represent your interests during the mediation with your own mediator.
  • Advice on modern family planning: for example, two mothers and two fathers, LAT parents, two fathers and one mother; written agreements and what do you agree on?

Everything will be okay in the end, if it’s not okay it’s not the end yet.
